The quality of educational process mostly depends upon the quality of teachers .Even though it's regarded as a science anda talent, teaching is really a kind offine art. In India, teacher education dates back to the Vedic era. During that time, Brahmin seniors were trained as teachers by being given the opportunity to instruct younger students. European missionaries were the ones who initially introduced modern teacher training to India. The capacity to think creatively and beyond the box to produce something unique from what already existing is what it means to be innovative. There can be no progress without inventions. Teachers need to be creative thinkers, and their education must begin in their training facilities. Interactive teleconferencing and IT literacy are examples of innovations in teacher education. This paper will focus on new ideas and innovative practices like cooperative learning, constructivism, reflective teaching etc.en_US
